Welcome to Mountain Air Pilots Association

If you’re a pilot, Mountain Air is the ideal getaway, featuring the highest private runway east of the Mississippi. At an elevation of 4,600 feet, the paved runway measures 2,875 feet, and landing here is considered a special treat by pilots and their families. Once on the ground, you’re just steps from the Mountain Air Clubhouse and a short jaunt from home.

Mountain Air Pilots Association is a 501(c)3 that was founded to promote aviation safety at Mountain Air and to contribute to the education and welfare of the local community.

We are dedicated to educating pilots that fly on to our mountain, and to be active in our community through charitable donations and events. Our airport also provides year-round access for Mission Health’s Air Ambulance service to reach critical care patients in the area. Learn More About Us
